In our banner above you see an embellished graphic of a painting by Thomas Coke Ruckle (1811-1891). The church, which holds center stage with two men conversing, is represented as it appeared at the time our nation was born. Lovely Lane Chapel was founded by Joseph Pilmore on June 22, 1772, and its foundation was laid in 1774.
